July 3 - 31 - Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF)

The Contemporary American Theater Festival produces the newest plays in America, in the oldest town in West Virginia. Discover the ultimate theater experience in historic Shepherdstown.

Named as one of the top theater festivals in the world, by publications such as The New York Times, American Theatre, and World Guide, the Contemporary American Theater Festival shapes the future of American theater. Each summer, the Festival produces six new plays in rotating repertory.

July 4 - Shepherdstown Independence Day

Shepherdstown celebrates our nations 245th anniversary of independence with a parade and picnic. The parade starts at 11 for about an hour, but the party continues from 12-3pm at Morgan’s Grove park where the Rotary Club will sell cookout classics. This event is sponsored by the Shepherdstown Rotary Club and is open to anyone.

July 23 and 24 – The SCCA’s Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series at Summit Point Motorsports Park

Exciting sports car racing featuring some of the East Coast’s top drivers.  Two days of racing on Summit Point’s iconic 2-mile natural terrain road course.  The Mid-Atlantic Road Racing series is on the largest and most successful club racing series in the country.  A variety of spectator and hospitality packages are available.

August 6 - Justin Williams in Concert at Hollywood Casino

8 pm.

Justin Willman wants to melt your brain while making you laugh. He’s best known as the star and creator of the hit Netflix series Magic For Humans. If you don’t know Justin, he’s a magician and comedian who’s mastered the art of turning cynics into believers (or at least getting them to laugh). His live show is simultaneously mind-blowing and hilarious and will likely keep you up at night wondering how the heck any of it was possible. See him live at the Event Center!

August 13 and 14 - Championship Cup Motorcycle Racing at Summit Point Motorsports Park

Two days of intensity and wheel to wheel action.  High speed and high drama make for a weekend of great motorcycle racing.  Featuring some of America’s TOP riders on Summit Point’s iconic 2-mile natural terrain road course.  A variety of spectator and hospitality packages are available.

August 19 and 20 – FRP’s West Virginia Grand Prix Weekend at Summit Point Motorsports Park

Could the next big name at Indianapolis be passing through West Virginia this August?  Find out when this championship weekend comes to Summit Point’s iconic 2-mile natural terrain road course for a weekend of racing excitement.  A variety of spectator and hospitality packages are available.

September 10 and 11 – Pirelli National Challenge Motorcycle Series at Summit Point Motorsports Park

Presented by WERA this two-day event will bring jaw-dropping two-wheel action to Summit Point’s iconic 2-mile natural terrain road course.  Sit track side for one of the ‘fastest’ weekends on the calendar.   A variety of spectator and hospitality packages are available.

September 23-25 - Mountain Heritage Festival

Jefferson County Fairgrounds plays host to the annual Mountain Heritage Festival from September 23rd to September 25th. Home to over 200 artisans from the greater area, experience the sights, sounds and smells of traditional Appalachian crafts. The Mountain Heritage Festival will be open from 10-5 daily. October 1 - Blue Ridge Arts and Crafts Fall Festival

The annual Blue Ridge Arts and Crafts Fall Festival returns to Sam Micheal’s Park on October 1st. See live music and 65 different Blue Ridge artisans celebrating the regions rich culture and traditional arts.

October 8 - Boat & Brew 

10:30 am

River & Trail Outfitters has teamed up with Abolitionist Ale, in Charles Town, WV to craft a fun, festive and flavorful day where participants paddle the mellow, wilderness-surrounded Shenandoah River and then enjoy your choice of craft beer along with a personal artisan pizza.

November 18, 19 and 20 - The VRG Turkey Bowl at Summit Point Motorsports Park

Vintage Racing fans are treated to one more exciting weekend when the VRG Turkey Bowl comes to Summit Point’s iconic 2-mile natural terrain road course.  Classic cars racing at high speed on the track makes for an exciting end to the race season.  A variety of spectator and hospitality packages are available.

Drifters of December is a drift event unlike any other. All four tracks in Summit Point Motorsports Park will be drifting at the same time in this two day spectacular. Spectators are welcome at all four tracks at Summit Point Motorsports Park.
